According to the German Transport Authority, Porsche discovered irregularities in 911s and Panameras built between 2008 and 2013 stemming from unauthorized “changes to hardware and software that could affect exhaust systems and engine components.” In 2019, Porsche was fined nearly $600 million for using dirty diesel engines sourced from its parent company, Volkswagen, which has had its own sordid history of emissions cheating.
Keller Rohrback is investigating whether Porsche manipulated the hardware and software in the 2008-2013 911 and Panamera gas engines in order to pass emissions tests.
