Keller Rohrback is looking to speak with Harley-Davidson owners or lessees who may have overpaid for repairs or had warranties canceled due to using third-party parts or repair shops. Did you overpay? Contact us now for a free consultation.
The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) recently issued orders against motorcycle manufacturer Harley-Davidson for illegally restricting customers’ right to repair their own vehicles, allowing Harley-Davidson and its authorized dealers to charge higher prices for parts and repair services. The FTC concluded that Harley-Davidson included terms in its warranties that could void them if motorcycle owners used independent repairers or third-party parts, which is a violation of the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act and FTC Act.
Consumers should have the right to repair without fear of reprisal. Did Harley’s monopolistic and illegal conduct cost you money? Contact us now at consumer@kellerrohrback.com or (800) 776-6044 or use the secure form on the right if any of the following apply to you:
- Harley-Davidson voided or modified your warranty for using a third-party repairer or parts.
- You overpaid for parts or repairs in order to avoid having your warranty voided.
- You own a third-party repair shop or parts dealer that has lost business due to Harley’s illegal warranty policy.
- Your shop was denied a chance to be a Harley-Davidson authorized service provider.
