Village of Rockton Fights Abandoned Sonoco Paper Mill Contamination

Keller Rohrback L.L.P. represents the Village of Rockton in its efforts to make Sonoco Products Company, a paper and plastics manufacturing company, clean up the toxic mess it left when it abandoned its facility in the heart of the Village. Although the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency concluded that the levels of contamination at the site far exceeded state and federal laws and threatens to spread to other sites in town and pollute the river, Sonoco refused to take any action. That changed, however, when Keller Rohrback began working on the case.
