2018 Lawdragon 500 Leading Lawyers

Legal magazine Lawdragon has published its annual listing of the 500 “Leading Lawyers in America,” which includes Keller Rohrback managing partner Lynn Lincoln Sarko and senior partner Derek W. Loeser. Selected from a combination of editorial research by Lawdragon staff, law firm submissions, and other online nominations, the Lawdragon 500 Leading Lawyers list is a mark of high distinction in the legal profession.
According to Lawdragon, “[t]hese are lawyers who inspire with their public interest leadership, their vision of the rule of law and its relationship to our lives, our economies and our governance. Lynn also served on the Plaintiffs Steering Committee in In re: Volkswagen “Clean Diesel” Marketing, Sales Practices, and Products Liability Litigation, where he served as one of the negotiators of the $15 billion settlement for 2.0-liter vehicles, the largest auto-related consumer class action settlement in U.S. history, as well as the 3.0-liter settlement.
About Derek Loeser
Derek Loeser is a senior partner in Keller Rohrback’s nationally recognized Complex Litigation Group. Derek is known for his courtroom skill and creativity in large, complex cases. He has litigated in state and federal trial and appellate courts on behalf of individuals, institutions and state and local governments. Throughout his career, Derek has been inspired to hold powerful corporations accountable for fraud and abuse. Derek’s cases run the gamut from consumer protection, fraud, securities, ERISA, anti-trust, and environmental protection – what unites them is the idea that corporations are not above the law. Derek has served in leadership capacities in a wide array of prominent class action and large-scale individual cases throughout the country.
Currently, among other cases against Fortune 500 Companies, Derek represents state and local government entities in several matters, including in the In Re National Prescription Opiate Litigation where he represents cities and counties severely impacted by the opioid epidemic. Wells Fargo & Company and Wells Fargo Bank, N.A., the Wells Fargo unauthorized account consumer class action in which preliminary approval has been granted to a nationwide $142 million settlement.
