Keller Rohrback is investigating reports that the personal data of approximately 73 million AT&T customers has been posted online by a hacker. The leaked data reportedly includes the names, phone numbers, addresses, dates of birth, social security numbers and other sensitive personal information of confirmed AT&T customers.
Apparently, a hacker originally attempted to sell this information on the dark web three years ago, and claimed that the data was stolen from AT&T in a 2021 data breach. As of the time of this publication, AT&T denies that the data was taken from their systems.
