Keller Rohrback is investigating Avista Utilities, which may have caused the Babb Road Fire that ravaged 15 miles of homes and properties in Malden and Pine City. If this extensive fire damaged your home, property, or business, we want to hear your story. Please contact us at (800) 776-6044, [email protected], or by using the contact form on this page.
After an intense windstorm a pine tree that had been partially burned was found lying beside recently replaced Avista distribution poles. Residents had reported seeing smoke from this area and an Avista spokesperson has confirmed that the tree in question made contact with the powerlines. A state forest pathologist determined that the tree had signs of stress and insect infestation, suggesting that Avista should have removed the 44-year-old tree before the windstorm, potentially preventing the devastating fire.
The Babb Road Fire destroyed over 15,000 acres and more than 85% of all buildings in Malden and Pine City. Were you affected? If you lost your home or property due to the Babb Road fire, please contact us at (800) 776-6044, [email protected], or by using the contact form on this page.
