Congratulations to Derek Loeser, who was selected to the Washington 2023 Super Lawyers Top 100 list! Keller Rohrback is thrilled to support Derek in this distinct honor, which recognizes his ongoing work in prominent nationwide class-action mass tort cases.
Derek is a senior partner in Keller Rohrback’s nationally recognized Complex Litigation Group, and a member of the firm’s Executive Committee. 

Derek's passion for holding large corporations accountable for wrongdoing has helped recover billions of dollars for consumers, retirees, state and local governments, and institutions. He has served in leadership roles in major complex cases across the country. Currently, he is co-lead counsel in In re Facebook, Inc. Consumer Privacy User Profile Litigation, the Multidistrict Litigation (MDL) against Facebook stemming from the Facebook Cambridge Analytica scandal, which recently settled for $725 million.  Derek is also an active member of Keller Rohrback’s team pursuing cases against social media giants like Meta, Google, and TikTok on behalf of multiple school districts around the country seeking redress for their role in the nation’s youth mental health crisis.  

Many of Derek’s cases have required coordinating with state and federal agencies involved in litigation that parallels cases pursued by Keller Rohrback, including state attorneys general, the Department of Justice, and the Department of Labor. In addition, Derek has extensive experience negotiating complex, multi-party settlements, and coordinating with the many parties and counsel necessary to accomplish this. Derek has been an instrumental litigator in a number of cases involving serious, nationwide health crises, including the Opioid MDL and the case against JUUL, for targeting and addicting youth with its e-cigarettes.
