Recently, industry watchdog InvestigateTV revealed that, based on its research, GEICO is charging servicemembers returning from deployment up to 45% more than civilians in at least 22 states.
In general, car insurance companies charge higher rates for those who have experienced a lapse in coverage. However, in this case, servicemembers who were recently deployed—those whose “lapse” in coverage resulted from being stationed elsewhere in order to protect their country—are allegedly being unreasonably overcharged when they return from deployment.
It goes without saying that these higher premiums are unfair and unethical, and Keller Rohrback would like to discuss this investigation with you. Contact us today via email, phone, or secure form to learn more about your legal rights.
