Keller Rohrback L.L.P. Files Class Action Lawsuit On Behalf of Cell Phone Owners

 

On January 20, 2017, Keller Rohrback filed a class action complaint against Qualcomm Incorporated on behalf of consumers who purchased cellular devices (such as a cellphone or tablet) between January 17, 2013 and the present.

The Plaintiffs in this care are pursuing claims against Qualcomm for anticompetitive conduct, alleging that Qualcomm may be maintaining a monopoly over the modem chipset market.

Qualcomm’s patented modem chipset is a standard component in cellular devices. It enables communication between networks operated by companies such as AT&T, Verizon, or Sprint. Anyone who has purchased a cellular phone or device since January 17. 2013 has paid an inflated price as a result of Qualcomm’s unlawful conduct.
