Keller Rohrback L.L.P. Investigates Brake Defects in Nissan Vehicles
Attorneys from Keller Rohrback L.L.P. are investigating automaker Nissan Motor Company Ltd.’s (“Nissan”) recall of 134,000 vehicles in the United States and Canada due to potential braking system defects that could lead to fires.
The recall, which includes cars and crossovers from model years 2015 – 2017, involves a defective anti-lock braking system that can allow brake fluid to leak into the circuit boards, causing electrical shorts. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration warns owners that when brake fluid has leaked onto the circuit board, the ABS warning lamp may remain illuminated for more than 10 seconds after engine start up. If this occurs, owners are advised to not drive the vehicle and park it outdoors away from other vehicles and structures.
If you or a family member owns or leases one of the affected vehicles, please contact attorneys Gretchen Freeman Cappio, Amy Williams-Derry, or Ryan McDevitt, to discuss our investigation and your potential claims against Nissan. Call 800-776-6044 or email [email protected].
