Keller Rohrback Investigates IQ Credit Union
December 14, 2016
Keller Rohrback is investigating whether IQ Credit Union, based in Vancouver, Washington, failed to properly disclose mortgage-settlement fees to its borrowers.
When a lender offers a mortgage loan to a borrower, the lender generally must disclose the fees that the borrower will have to pay when the transaction closes. This requirement is designed to allow the borrower to shop around for the best loan offer. Keller Rohrback’s investigation of IQ Credit Union focuses on whether IQ is failing to disclose the fees it ultimately charges the borrower, or is unlawfully increasing those fees after initial disclosure. These fees may run as high as several thousand dollars.
