This year's Legal Foundation of Washington Associates Campaign was an opportunity for Keller Rohrback associates to strut their trivia stuff, and did they ever! Aided by a trivia contest that was expertly hosted by Adele Daniel, the KR team raised $29,880 for the LFW! The local nonprofit, created in 1984 by the Washington Supreme Court, funds 40 civil legal aid programs that serve low-income citizens throughout the state. The final tally among the 14 Seattle firms cheerfully competing in the campaign saw KR in 3rd place, just ahead of Connelly Law Offices, who raised a little over $25,000.
But while the cause was vitally important, KR associates did not shrink from having fun with the campaign. In fact, partner Derek Loeser has agreed to go jump in the lake (Washington, that is) based on the KR associate team having met its initial fundraising goal of $25,000. Everyone at the firm will also be treated to a firm-sponsored lunch at a later date. Further, partners Laura Gerber and Garrett Heilman will mark reaching the $27,500 milestone by taking the associates out for a night of karaoke during which they will be obligated to heft the mic.
This kind of outreach, that joins the gravity of the LFW mission with the whimsical and compassionate spirit demonstrated by KR's associates, is what makes this firm distinctive. We salute Co-Chairs Kylie Fisher and Chris Ryder (whose silly costumes for the LFW Justice Jam event are included for your enjoyment), and all the other associates, for their significant contribution to this perennially worthy cause!
