Keller Rohrback Appointed as Co-Lead Interim Class Counsel in Amazon Photos Facial Recognition Litigation

On April 19, 2022, Judge Harry D. Leinenweber of the Northern District of Illinois appointed Keller Rohrback as Interim Co-Lead Counsel.  Keller Rohrback attorneys Dean Kawamoto, Derek Loeser, Gretchen Freeman Cappio, and Felicia Craick are proud to represent the proposed class of Illinois citizens who have claims under BIPA based on Amazon’s collecting and using their biometric data through the Amazon Photo service.  

The litigation relates to Amazon’s alleged use of and profiting from the biometric data of Amazon Photos account holders and non-account holders in violation of the Illinois Biometric Information Privacy Act.
