Nurse Wages Antitrust Litigation
Keller Rohrback was co-lead counsel with Cohen Milstein Sellers & Toll PLLC and James & Hoffman, PC in a class action lawsuit against major hospitals in Detroit and was also co-counsel with Cohen Milstein Sellers & Toll PLC, James & Hoffman, PC, Gustafson Gluek, and Levin Fishbein Sedran & Berman in a class action lawsuit against major hospitals in Albany, New York. These lawsuits alleged that these hospitals had conspired to keep their nurses’ wages at artificially low levels. The lawsuits were filed in 2006 in federal courts in these cities. The claims in each distinct antitrust case state that the defendants and their co-conspirators agreed to, and regularly, exchanged detailed and non-public information about the compensation that was paid to or was going to be paid to RN employees in support of an agreement to suppress nurse compensation.
